This course gives an overview over some core principles of Statistics. It is best suited for beginners and those who would like to refresh their knowledge about Statistics for their PhD.
The course will cover the following topics:
• Overview on data formats
• Summary statistics
• Introduction to R and R Studio
• Basic graphical visualization
• The idea of statistical inference
• Statistical testing and analysis of variance (ANOVA)

The course will take place on 1st of October, 2024, from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m and on 2nd of October, 2024, from 9:15a.m. to 12 p.m.
The course will take place in MZG 8.163.

On the afternoon session of the first day you have the time to prepare the practical exercises that are part of the course and that every participant will do on their own. For the preparation of the excercises you do not have to stay in the seminarroom, but you have the option to do so.
