Lisa Brünig, M. A.
Lisa Brünig is a researcher at the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute in the SMARTUP project.
Lisa Brünig is also the coordinator of the Competence Center for Gender-Sensitive Medicine at Hannover Medical School (MHH) and a research associate at the Institute for Ethics, History and Philosophy of Medicine.
Lisa Brünig studied the political science bachelor program "Public Administration" at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster and the Universiteit Twente Enschede (NL). In her master's degree, she studied Social Science Diversity Research at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and completed a semester abroad at the University of Vienna. Before starting her current position, Lisa Brünig already worked as a student assistant and later as a Lecturer at the Göttingen Diversity Research Institute.
In her master's thesis, she worked on the topic of abortion and the legal regulation in Germany from a power-critical and discourse-analytical perspective. Her current PhD project develops an intersectional perspective on actors working to improve access to abortion in Germany.
In addition to her work in academia, Lisa Brünig is a political educator in youth and adult education and gives workshops on anti-feminism, sexism, and conspiracy narratives, among other topics.
