  Faculty Welcome Day for International Students, Winter Semester 2026/27
  
  
  
  

  
  

  We kindly invite all international (exchange) students who are joining us this winter semester 2026/27 to our Faculty Welcome Day on Wednesday, 21 October 2026.

  
  
  

  We will kick off the day with an introduction and welcome event by the faculty's incoming office. You will learn all you need to know about studying at the faculty, your courses, course registration and exams. We offer two different workshops about studying in Göttingen and our online systems. After a lunch break, our local students will offer a campus and city tour in small groups, so you can get to know your campus and your new home. In the evening, you are invited to join a social event - get together with your fellow international students and local students from Göttingen in a local bar in the city center.

  Application deadlines in the winter semester 2026/27 for studying abroad
  
  
  
  

  
  

  In the winter semester 2026/27, you can apply for a study period outside Europe in the winter semester 2027/28 and for a study period under the European Erasmus+ programme in the winter semester 2027/28 and summer semester 2028. Applications must be submitted online via the application portal. Please note that you may only register on the portal using your student email address (...@stud.uni-goettingen.de). Applications submitted using private email addresses will be deemed invalid.

  
  

  • Expected application deadline for the Global Exchange Programme for studying abroad in the winter semester 2027/28: 1 December 2026
  
  
  • Application deadline for the Faculty Exchange Programme for studying abroad in the winter semester 2027/27: 15 December 2026
  
  
  • Expected application deadline for the Erasmus+ Programme for studying abroad in the winter semester 2027/28 and summer semester 2028: 31 January 2027

  
  

  A separate application must be submitted for each programme. The application portal opens approximately one month before the respective application deadline.
